    I. Location

    CITG is located in the Yangtze River Delta region, which has a developed economy, a dense concentration of modern enterprises, a vast schooling hinterland and a strong demand for talents, and is situated in Changzhou Science and Education City, a national comprehensive experimental zone for the reform and development of higher vocational education.

    Changzhou is known as a place of study for thousands of years and a modern city of innovation, and is adjacent to the Spring and Autumn Drowning City. Changzhou is located in the center of the circle of Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou, with a rich cultural heritage and a developed manufacturing industry.

    II. The Most Characteristic Majors 

    School has teaching units such as College of Creativity, College of Textiles, College of Clothing, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Economics and Business, College of Humanities, College of Creative, College of International Studies, College of Continuing Education, College of Marxism, Department of Physical Education, etc., with 41 majors.

    There are 3 majors supported by the central financial support for development, 8 provincial specialties, 1 provincial brand specialty, 3 provincial key majors (groups), 2 provincial high-level specialty groups (including cultivation), and 5 provincial high-level backbone majors. There are 55 pilot projects of modern vocational education system in Jiangsu Province; 1 national quality online open course, 3 national quality courses and 23 provincial courses; 2 national teaching achievements and 89 provincial teaching achievement awards.     III. Student Welfare and Campus Activities

    (I) Student welfare

    1. Individual flats: The school provides international student flats with communal kitchens on each floor; facilities in the rooms include: air conditioning, refrigerator, hot water, internet, beds, etc. The school provides free water of 8 tons/person/month and free electricity of 90 degrees/person/month.

    2. Special food and beverage: There are Gourmet City, Xuehai Restaurant, Xueyuan Restaurant, Xuezi Restaurant and Xicai Restaurant on the campus.

    (II) Campus Activities

    In response to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's national conference on propaganda and ideology, the university has been actively promoting the building of international communication capacity, telling the Chinese story and spreading the Chinese voice, and presenting a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive China to the world, and carrying out a variety of cultural activities to enable international students to perceive, understand and integrate into China.

    A series of activities such as Appreciation of Chinese Art and Culture, Handicraft of Non-Foreign Heritage and International Food Festival are held regularly to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Chinese and foreign students and teachers of many countries. The programme also organises intercultural dialogue sessions such as Stories from Home and China in Your Mind to build a platform for multi-cultural exchange, so that students can gain a better understanding of China and identify with Chinese culture through exchange and interaction, and develop an international perspective and cross-cultural communication skills.
