To further enhance the understanding of Chinese laws and regulations among international students at our university and improve their awareness of safety precautions, on the afternoon of October 15th, the School of International Education held a legal and safety education lecture for international students in Room 9213. The lecture was specially invited to be presented by Police Officer Liu Qi, Deputy Captain of the Exit-Entry Administration Brigade of the Wujin District Public Security Bureau in Changzhou City, and Police Officer Xue Yudan, Deputy Captain of the same brigade. Vice Dean Han Rui of the School of International Education, counselor Nie Yan, and 40 international students attended the event together.

During the lecture, Police Officer Xue Yudan systematically explained legal knowledge, focusing on interpreting the core provisions of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Punishments" and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Exit and Entry Administration", and provided a detailed introduction to the "three illegal" issues for international students. Police Officer Liu Qi, combining practical cases, deeply expounded on the relevant provisions and details of the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of the Entry and Exit of Aliens", emphasizing the visa application regulations for international students in China, the management regulations for stay and residence, and the requirements for temporary accommodation registration for foreigners. At the same time, he also reminded international students to strictly abide by the school's discipline regulations, not only enhancing their legal awareness but also improving their self-protection ability.

Subsequently, the International Education College organized all international students in China to watch the recorded content of the "First Class of the New Term for International Students in Jiangsu Universities in 2025" together. This event was hosted by the Provincial Department of Education and organized by Nanjing University of Science and Technology, with the theme of "Studying in Jiangsu, Dreaming in China". Through sharing by role models and cultural performances, it built a bridge for international students to understand China.

The International Education College has always placed the safety education of international students in China at a prominent position. This lecture is detailed and highly targeted, and it is one of the key measures to ensure the safety of international students and help them better adapt to campus life. In the future, the college will continue to promote the regular construction of legal education, guiding all international students to establish a legal mindset. Under the premise of abiding by Chinese laws, they can fully appreciate the charm of Chinese culture and write a brilliant chapter of their studies in China.
