Our students win the 5th International Student New Media Festival and New Media Original Works Competition

The new media arena is full of colorful and creative works of all kinds are emerging. The 5th International Student New Media Festival and New Media Original Works Competition, which was guided by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and hosted by Soochow University, came to an end in Suzhou in late November.

The competition received 410 entries from 107 universities, including Tongji University, East China Normal University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing Film Academy, Jinan University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing Normal University, etc., with a total of more than 830 participants.

The International College actively organized domestic and foreign students to participate in the competition through the mode of offline + online, and submitted 6 works in total. The work of ADNAN MD MONIRUZZAMAN from Bangladesh guided by Li Susu won the second prize; the works of TONG WEN QI and TONG WEN RU from Malaysia guided by Shen Yunqi were About China, Yang Qingjian and ADNAN MD MONIRUZZAMAN from Bangladesh guided by Li Susu were Developing Countries along the Belt and Road, and the works of students DING Quan, DENG Li, XU Tingting and HUO Zhengle Ink Suzhou Luzhi Ancient Town under the guidance of Cao Chengjin won the Outstanding Award. This is the second time since 2020 that our school has won the Outstanding Organization Award, which fully reflects our international school atmosphere of openness and tolerance, responsibility, distinctive features, and pursuit of excellence and our international education philosophy of inclusion, morality and learning.

During the epidemic period, the International College organized international students and Chinese teachers and students to participate in various international competitions through the offline + online mode to stimulate the innovative spirit and creative thinking of teachers and students, and enhance their professional skills and practical innovation ability. In the recently concluded China-ASEAN 30th Anniversary Dialogue Youth Artwork Competition, Ms. Wang Zixi's Temple under the Sun won the Silver Award in the painting and calligraphy category, while three other students' works, namely Tribute to Angkor Wat by Yang Junjie, Four Seasons ASEAN Painting by Li Xiang and Melting by Zhong Yiling, won the Excellence Award.

In the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, under the guidance of the university's two cultures and two types, the university's international exchange and cooperation work focuses on practical results and is being improved through continuous experimentation and accumulation.
